Born in a Christian home to parents Michael and Sharon Kelly in Inglewood, California, Michael B. Kelly, II had the privilege of developing a relationship with God from childhood. After completing primary school, he attended Murrieta Valley High School, where he excelled in football and track. He transferred to La Sierra Academy for his junior and senior years and upon graduating, received a track scholarship to attend Columbia Union College in Takoma Park, Maryland. It was here that Michael received the call from the Lord to enter pastoral ministry. While at Columbia Union College, he accepted the invitation to serve the student body as Religious Vice President for two years and then as Religious Vice President of the Adventist Inter-Collegiate Association. Following graduation in 2001 with concentrations in Theology and a minor in Psychology, Pastor Kelly entered Andrews University Theological Seminary where he served as Chaplain for the Black Seminary Student Association. He completed the Master of Divinity Degree in 2003.
Married to the former Tia Patrice Green, the couple has two daughters: Gihanna (9) and Genesis(7). Pastor Kelley is currently the Senior Pastor at Mt. Rubidoux Seventh-day Adventist Church.
